Facebook addiction and the cure... : )

Two key rules:
1. set a time and time limit for your Facebook sessions that doesn't interfere with job or "life", eg 8am, 1pm or 9pm for no more than 1 hour each day. The same is true for email and phone calls. There should be times of your day that are interruption-free;

2. It is not a competition to have the most friends: you must limit your facebook to people you genuinely are interested in; not even necessarily best friends (as those are people you should engage with enough in person), but old friends or those who live abroad, whose updates you want to hear without the need for regular personal phone or email interactions - great to know from their statuses, for when you DO get in touch, if they have recently got married/had kids etc
